As the domestic hockey season plunges into its season this weekend Irish Senior Cup holders Pembroke Wanderers, who face Monkstown, will be seeking continued success without their physiotherapist Mary Dundon. The well known hockey player, who works in the Blackrock clinic, is in Sydney at the request of the Olympic Council of Ireland as part of the Irish medical team.
The Trinity graduate has been the physio for the Irish hockey team for five years. Unfortunately none of the hockey players will be in Sydney, both men and women's teams having failed to qualify, but umpire Ray O'Connor will be much involved.
