AIL Round-up: It's as you were at the top of the AIB All-Ireland Division One with the leading three teams all securing wins this afternoon.
Leaders Shannon traveled to the capital to take-on an in-form Lansdowne but the home side’s efforts came up short as they lost 27-15. It was a welcome win for the league’s leading club having lost to Clontarf recently.
Garryowen kept the pressure on their Limerick rivals with a 10-3 victory away to Blackrock College but moved up to second by virtue of their bonusClontarf always had the measure of County Carlow as they ran-out comfortable 40-14 winners at Castle Avenue.
Garryowen and Clontarf swapped places in the table with latter going second by virtue of their bonus point and a better scoring difference. Both are on 42 points, one behind Shannon.
Elsewhere Ballymena beat St Mary’s College 40-7 while Cork Constitution put 25 points on the board without reply as they hosted UCD.
Buccaneers won by the narrowest of margins (32-31) against Belfast Harleqins while Dungannon were pushed all the way before they overcame Galwegians 29-27.
