South Africa coach Pieter de Villiers, who is due to name his side for the third and final Test against the Lions later today, will definitely be without Bakkies Botha after the second row’s appeal against a two-week was rejected.
Bakkies Botha was banned for two weeks on Sunday for a dangerous charge on Lions prop Adam Jones during the second test on Saturday.
Jones suffered a dislocated shoulder following the tackle by Botha, who helped the Springboks clinch the series 2-0.
The Lions will also name their side today as they attempt to avoid a whitewash at Ellis Park.
