Connacht boss Michael Bradley has dismissed speculation linking him with the coach's job at Llanelli Scarlets.
The Scarlets are looking for a new coach after Gareth Jenkins was handed the Welsh job last week and Bradley's name emerged as one of the potential candidates in the Welsh media over the weekend.
"I have two years of my contract left with Connacht and the IRFU so that really is the end of the matter. It is pure speculation and there is no substance to it. My primary concern at this stage is to finish the Celtic League on a high with Connacht along with putting together a strong side for next season," said Bradley.
Llanelli's interest in Bradley gained further momentum on Sunday when former Welsh international Phil Davies - who captained Llanelli at the start of the 'nineties - stepped down as Leeds Tykes coach but insisted he was taking a break from rugby.
Llanelli's interest in Bradley is hardly surprising given that the Scarlets have failed to defeat Connacht in all three fixtures between the sides at Stradey Park. In October 2003 Connacht stunned the Scarlets 14-12 in the Celtic Cup and six months later carved out a 33-33 draw at the famed venue - the only points Llanelli dropped at home all season on their way to winning the Celtic League.
Connacht's remarkable run at Stradey Park continued in October 2004 when they secured a bonus point win when they triumphed 29-21. The Scarlets finally defeated Connacht on Welsh soil this season but that 25-17 victory was recorded at the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham back in September.
"I have heard nothing from Llanelli and don't expect to. It is not an issue. I have two years of my contract to go and that is what I am concentrating on. You will always get some speculation flying around but there is absolutely no substance to this rumour.
"We are going to finish our Celtic League campaign with three home matches, starting this Friday against Edinburgh, and that is what I need to concentrate on," added Bradley.
