Rugby:Connacht's season went from bad to worse today with news that winger Brian Tuohy and flanker Johnny O'Connor are set for extended time on the sidelines.

Tuohy broke his leg in Sunday’s 15-13 defeat to Leinster at the Sportsground. He underwent surgery today but is unlikely to be back before the end of the season.

Former Ireland international O’Connor fractured a cheekbone in the contest and will also require surgery.

Connacht also have doubts over prop Ronan Loughney and outhalf Niall O’Connor ahead of their game away to Aironi on Saturday.
