Rugby:Heineken Cup organisers ERC have confirmed that wins for both Ulster and Leinster in their respective semi-finals will guarantee Connacht a place in next year's competition.

However, if Edinburgh and Clermont Auvergne win the games in Dublin and Bordeaux, then the 24th place in next season’s competition will go to Wasps provided they retain their Aviva Premiership status for next season.

Connacht will also make it in to the draw if either Ulster or defending champions Leinster win the Heineken Cup final at Twickenham May 19th.

A win for either Edinburgh or Clermont would see Wasps qualify as they are the highest ranked non-French club in the ERC European Rankings which has not qualified through its domestic qualification process.
