Cork Constitution continued their imperious form as they made it 20 AIB League wins in-a-row as they defeated Clontarf 17-3 in today's semi-final at Temple Hill and will now meet Garryowen in the final.

Cork booked a place in their second successive Division One final with tries from Cronan Healy and Richie Lane and prop Tim Ryan.

Healy showed a great turn of pace as the winger went over the line to finish off a breakaway score just before the half hour mark. That gave the home side a 5-0 lead at the break.

The visitors only score of the game came from a Daragh O'Shea penalty in the second half but fullback Lane put the game beyond reach with his 70th minute try.

Garryowen were too much for Shannon at Coonagh as they ran out 31-6 winners to set up the final encounter with Con.

It was Shannon's first semi-final, but up against a more experienced Garryowen team, they had no answer as the visitors now go in pursuit of back-to-back league titles.

In difficult conditions Garryowen went into the break 14-3 ahead as David Sherry went over the line in the 35th-minute to add to three Conor Kilroy penalties.

Shannon's scores came from a Mossie Lawlor drop goal early in the game and David O'Donovan's penalty was the host's only other score.

The strength and depth of Garryowen was telling as tries from Kieran Lewis, Conan Doyle and Keith Earls ensured the comprehensive win.
