Thousands of supporters are expected to welcome home the triumphant Munster team to Cork this evening following Saturday's nail-biting European Cup final success over Biarritz.
Declan Kidney's men were already greeted by phenomenal numbers at Shannon Airport and in Limerick on Sunday and are set for another long night of celebration.
Cork City Council has erected a special stage on the South Mall at its junction with Parnell Street and entertainment will begin at 7pm. The team are scheduled to arrive an hour later.
Large screens will be in operation to ease congestion.
Major traffic diversions will be in place around the city and the council warns that all city centre routes will be affected.
City centre diversions will be in place from 4.30pm until 10pm. Parnell Bridge (Northbound) will be closed from 4.30pm.
Patrons are encouraged to use the Black Ash park-and-ride facility which will operate until 9.30pm. The city terminus will be at Eglinton Street instead of Lapp's Quay.
Parking is not permitted from 1pm on South Mall from Morrison Street to Parnell Place and on Parnell Place from South Mall to Oliver Plunkett Street.
