Rugby:Leinster's heroics over the past week have allowed Munster to come into this weekend's Magners League final slightly under the radar. After a trying season, one suspects it is just the way Tony McGahan would have wanted it.
Barring the likes of long-term absentees Jerry Flannery and Tony Buckley, the Munster coach was able to name a squad along largely familiar lines as he attempts to deny the neighbours a European and domestic double.
And with a relatively clean bill of health, McGahan and his management team have some big calls to make in the coming days. Having made heavy weather of seeing off the Ospreys, the province must decide whether to retain the same personnel or shake things up for the visit of the European champions.
James Coughlan is almost certain to be involved from the outset and knows nothing but a win will suffice for the runaway league leaders.
"I think after our performance in the league itself, where we ended up well clear, it's important for us to go on and win the trophy," the number eight said. "We owe that much to ourselves as a squad for the work that was put in when the internationals were away.
"But besides that it's a final. There's a trophy and a title on offer and that's what every side is judged on. No one will look back and remember who finished top of the league. It's whose name is on the trophy that counts."
