Rugby:Gordon D'Arcy will play no part in the Magners League final on Saturday after failing to recover from the ankle injury picked up last weekend. Leinster also have concerns over Isaac Boss as they prepare to meet Munster at Thomond Park.
D’Arcy suffered the ankle injury during the second half of Leinster’s Heineken Cup win over Northampton and was replaced by Fergus McFadden with just over 10 minutes remaining.
The centre wore a protective boot earlier this week but has been unable to train and was ruled out this afternoon. In D’Arcy’s absence McFadden is expected to be named alongside Brian O’Driscoll in the Leinster midfield when the side is announced tomorrow.
Boss, a second half replacement at the Millennium Stadium, has been troubled by a tight hamstring since the Magners League semi-final win over Ulster and a decision on his availability will be taken over the next 24 hours.
