Ian Dowling will start for Munster against Clermont Auvergne on Sunday having overcome the illness that forced him to miss last weekend's narrow defeat at Wasps.
Dowling comes into the side on the left wing for the match at Thomond Park with Anthony Horgan dropping out of the match squad entirely.
John Hayes is also included in Declan Kidney's starting line-up, the Ireland prop passed fit following the neck injury he sustained at the Ricoh Arena.
Elsewhere, Gerry Hurley will provide cover at scrum-half on the replacements bench in place of Tomas O'Leary who is recovering from pneumonia.
