Rob Kearney returns to the Leinster starting line-up for his side’s daunting away trip to Toulon on Sunday.

Boss Leo Cullen has made a number of changes to the XV which edged past Ulster at the RDS two weeks ago as the province look for a famous win at the Stade Felix Mayol.

Leinster have lost both of their opening Pool five encounters against Bath and Wasps, and need a win against the three-in-a-row winners in order to keep their Champions Cup hopes alive.

Leinster will start the fixture with a completely new frontrow of Cian Healy, Richardt Strauss and Mike Ross, with Devin Toner at lock and Josh van der Flier, Rhys Ruddock and Jamie Heaslip resuming in the backrow.

Isaac Boss returns to the fold to partner Johnny Sexton at halfback with Fergus McFadden and Ben Te’o, whose Leinster future remains in doubt, starting in midfield.

The returning Kearney is joined in the back three by Fergus McFadden and captain Isa Nacewa.

Ten of the starting line-up for Sunday’s game also started in last season’s agonising 25-20 extra time semi-final defeat to Toulon at the Stade Velodrome.

Meanwhile Conor Murray, Donnacha Ryan and Francis Saili have all been named in the Munster side to face Leicester at Thomond Park on Saturday as Anthony Foley makes nine changes from the defeat to Newport Gwent Dragons last Sunday.

In the frontrow James Cronin and BJ Botha return to scrum down on either side of hooker Niall Scannell who makes his first European appearance.

The returning Donnacha Ryan joins Dave Foley in the secondrow while Robin Copeland and CJ Stander are named alongside Dave O’Callaghan in the backrow.

Named at blindside, this will be Copeland’s first Champions Cup start for the province, while Stander returns to captain the side from number eight.

A changed halfback pairing sees Murray and Ian Keatley renew their partnership after Murray successfully rehabbed a bruised bone he sustained during the round one encounter against Treviso.

Saili starts with Denis Hurley in midfield while Simon Zebo is joined by Keith Earls and Andrew Conway in the back three.

Hooker Mike Sherry is included in the replacements after rehabbing a knee injury he sustained in the opening round against Treviso while Tyler Bleyendaal is in line to make his European debut if sprung from the bench.
