After limping out of the European Champions Cup last weekend Munster have received some good news after it was announced outhalf Tyler Bleyendaal has made good progress from his serious neck injury and has been cleared to travel to the province.

The former New Zealand U20 captain had to undergo surgery on a prolapsed disc picked up playing in the ITM Cup in September, but rehabilitation has gone well and on arrival he will be assessed by the Munster medical team.

The 24-year-old's arrival will be a welcome boost for Anthony Foley and Munster who will lose JJ Hanrahan to Northampton Saints at the end of the season.

CJ Stander and Simon Zebo both picked up ankle injuries in the sobering defeat to Saracens and will be assessed by medical staff this week, while Conor Murray is also a doubt for the dead rubber fixture against Sale Sharks as he continues to be reviewed for a neck injury sustained against Zebre.
