Ireland backrow forward Stephen Ferris returns to the Ulster squad for Saturday's Magners League clash with top-of-the-table Munster at Ravenhill. The 23-year-old has recovered from the injury he picked up in the loss to Stade Francais and takes his place in Matt Williams's 26-man squad.

Flanker Thomas Anderson, a son of former Ireland star Willie, and hooker Stuart Philpott are also included in the extended squad as Ulster look to move off the bottom of the table after recording just one win in five so far.

Paul Steinmetz and Mark McCrea are also included in the extended squad, but, despite earning a place in Declan Kidney's Ireland squad today, Rory Best is not named for the Munster clash.
