Magners League squad news: Munster v Leinster squad news: As expected, Luke Fitzgerald has recovered from the shoulder injury sustained in Cardiff to rejoin the Leinster squad for Saturday's Magners League derby against Munster, while Michael Bradley has also named his Connacht squad.
Fitzgerald, Brian O’Driscoll, Rob Kearney and Jamie Heaslip – all afforded a break last weekend – return to Michael Cheika’s panel for the trip to Limerick.
Fitzgerald had been a slight injury concern after returning from Ireland’s Grand Slam triumph with his arm in a sling but the a/c shoulder joint has cleared up and he will be fit to line out at Thomond Park.
A win for Leinster would elevate the province above Munster at the top of the table but both sides are likely to have one eye on the Heineken Cup quarter-finals the following weekend and will be keen to avoid injuries.
Nevertheless, Tony McGahan named the strongest squad available to him yesterday and Cheika followed suit with his selection this afternoon. Whether all the frontliners start on Saturday night remains to be seen with the teams not due to be named until later in the week.
In the Connacht camp Niva Ta'auso has recovered from injury to be named in the squad for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury against the Ospreys in February.
Scrumhalf Frank Murphy is also back from injury having missed last week’s game against Edinburgh with a calf injury.
Up front Brian McGovern is one of three props named in the squad and Colm Rigney is also recalled for the encounter against Newport Gwent Dragons at the Sportsground on Friday (kick off: 6.30pm).
