Rugby – Team News:As expected Denis Fogarty will earn his first Heineken Cup start for Munster tomorrow as the hooker steps in for the injured jerry Flannery for the province's clash with Treviso at Thomond Park.
Flannery picked up a calf muscle tear during training yesterday and today’s scan revealed the extent of the damage. While disappointing for player and team, coach Tony McGahan has every confidence Fogarty will slot in.
"Of course it's disappointing, particularly so for the player himself but Denis has been around this squad a long time and fits in well," said McGahan.
"He's worked extremely hard over the last 18 months of his rugby career to get an opportunity to start a Heineken Cup at home and I know he's thrilled and certainly looking forward to it."
There are no other changes from the side that lost their opener away to Northampton as Ronan O'Gara and Tomas O'Leary form the half-back partnership, while Paul O’Connell captains the side.
