The Limerick side are now level on points with Clontarf, who beat St Mary's 23-32 at Templeville, but go top with a better points difference.
Elsewhere third-placed Shannon maintained their position with a narrow 17-21 victory away to UCD at Belfield. They are five points adrift of the top two, who lead with 56 points apeice.
In the afternoon's other top division games Belfast Harlequins defeated Blackrock College 33-19 while Lansdowne had to work hard to overcome Dungannon 34-32 at headquarters.
UL Bohemians and Dublin University were the afternoon's other victors as they beat Ballymena 33-14 and Buccaneers 33-19 respectively.
