Australia 22 France 6: Matt Giteau scored all his team's points as Australia defeated France at the Olympic stadium on Saturday.

Giteau scored the only try of the match in the first half and kicked the conversion and five penalties in a superb display of kicking.

France, missing a handful of their first-choice players after playing back-to-back tests in New Zealand, replied with two penalties, one in each half by outhalf Lionel Beauxis and scrumhalf Dimitri Yachvili.

Australia's victory was their fourth straight win this season and extended their unbeaten record over France at home to eight matches dating back to 1990.
