Henson commits future to Ospreys

Gavin Henson has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the Ospreys

Gavin Henson has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the Ospreys. The three-year deal will keep him with the Welsh club, who continue to be linked with former Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan, until after the 2011 World Cup.

Henson, still recovering from an ankle injury that ended his season prematurely, joins fellow Welsh internationals Shane Williams, Jonathan Thomas and Lee Byrne in committing his future to the Ospreys.

Henson, who has been with the Ospreys since they were formed in 2003, said today: "I'm delighted to sign a new contract, I wouldn't want to play rugby anywhere else. I'm an ambitious person and I want to win things and the Ospreys share my ambitions.

"There's a real buzz about the place at the moment, everybody is looking forward to the new season and to building on our achievements last season."
