Rugby:Senior players Trevor Hogan and Ronan McCormack have been named in the Leinster 'A' team to take on their Connacht counterparts in Wednesday's interprovincial derby at Donnybrook (5pm).
Hogan will partner Ciaran Ruddock at secondrow with Lansdowne's Eoin Sheriff forming a strong backrow partnership alongside Jordi Murphy and Paul Ryan.
Paul O'Donohoe captains a side that features a number of club and young development players as the Ireland Under-20 panel is currently involved with the national training camp this week.
"The squad have been training hard ahead of Wednesday's game which will be the last chance to impress before the start of the British and Irish Cup later this month,” said coach Colin McEntee.
"This will be an opportunity for players to express themselves in a strong, competitive environment and with a few players away on national duty this week, it enables us to broaden the selection base.
“The players are looking forward to the game and we will approach the game in a positive frame of mind."
