Stade v Ulster team news:Stephen Ferris, the player at the eye of the storm that erupted after last weekend's encounter, will be right back in the thick of things when Ulster meet Stade Francais again this Saturday.
Stade’s Julien Dupuy and David Attoub have been accused of gouging the flanker – both will appear before disciplinary hearings tomorrow – but Ferris and his Ulster teammates will be more concerned about building on last Saturday’s memorable win.
Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin today named a 28 man panel for the trip to Brussels’ King Baudouin Stadium, where Stade have opted to host the game, and should be boosted by the return of BJ Botha, Paddy Wallace and Timoci Nagusa.
All three missed the win at Ravenhill through injury but have been included in McLaughlin’s initial selection this morning. Having had time to reflect on that success, McLaughlin is now focused on repeating the trick.
“I never look back, I always look forward,” he said. “We had a good win over Stade at the weekend, but now it is all about Brussels. I am just hoping that the record, come Saturday, will be played two, won two.
“We all know how good Stade are and towards the end of the game last week, when we basically stopped playing, having gained a 23-6 lead, they came back at us. This is something we have to be aware of this weekend. But we can also go there with belief, confidence and pride after our overall performance against them.
“We can go to Brussels with great passion and faith. We have kept our own destiny in our own hands.”
