BRITISH AND IRISH LIONS

Leigh Halfpenny: Another majestic performance by the Wales fullback, who kicked 21 points and broke Neil Jenkins's Lions points record of 41 for a Test series. 9/10

Tommy Bowe: The Monaghan man was a danger with ball in hand and kept the Wallabies defence busy. 7/10

Jonathan Davies: A pillar of consistency in the Lions midfield, he ran hard, tackled hard and kicked impressively. 8/10

Jamie Roberts: Scored the Lions' final try on his return to Test action after recovering from a hamstring injury. Consistent display. 7/10

George North: Followed up his first Test try with another in the third. Always a threat when the Lions found him with possession. 8/10

Jonathan Sexton: Did not have his best game defensively, but was on hand to finish off a superb Lions move and claim the 57th-minute try that effectively downed Australia. 7/10

Mike Phillips: Recalled after missing the second Test, and he was instrumental in setting up an early Lions try. Typically combative. 7/10

Alex Corbisiero: Scored an early try and was instrumental in the Lions imposing themselves on Australia from an early stage. 8/10

Richard Hibbard: Part of a dominant first-half Lions scrummaging performance before he made way for Tom Youngs after 47 minutes. 7/10

Adam Jones: Relentless in the scrums, powering into his opposite number Benn Robinson from the start. Built a platform. 8/10

Alun-Wyn Jones: Captained the Lions to victory, setting an example from the start with his powerful ball-carrying. 8/10

Geoff Parling: Delivered an astonishing work-rate in all areas, including a brilliant tap-tackle on Wallabies back Jesse Mogg. 8/10

Dan Lydiate: A trademark performance where he again did so much work that went unnoticed. Tackled himself to a standstill. 8/10

Seán O'Brien: Ran himself into the ground, proving himself as a worthy openside flanker replacement for injured Lions captain Sam Warburton. 7/10

Toby Faletau: Superb for the Lions at the back of the scrum, and he was also world-class in defence. Mighty all-round effort. 8/10

Replacements
Tom Youngs:
Went on for Hibbard early in the second period. 7/10
Conor Murray:
Helped the Lions pull away after replacing Phillips. 7/10
Dan Cole:
Went on for Adam Jones, and the Lions scrum did not weaken. 7/10
Justin Tipuric:
Took over from O'Brien and maintained the Irishman's work-rate. 7/10
Owen Farrell:
Replaced Sexton as the Lions finished in style. 7/10
Richie Gray:
Made his Lions Test debut in the second-half. 7/10
Mako Vunipola:
A late change for Corbisiero. 7/10
Manu Tuilagi:
Gained his first slice of Test action late on. 7/10

AUSTRALIA

Kurtley Beale: One of Australia's star performers, but even the superb fullback gave up the ghost when the tide turned against the Wallabies. Ended up at outhalf. 7/10

Israel Folau: Limped off in the first half having shown only glimpses of the damage he can do. His departure robbed Australia of their key weapon. 6/10

Adam Ashley-Cooper: Ran hard and straight and defended well, but the Wallabies' backs played second fiddle to their Lions counterparts. 5/10

Christian Leali'ifano: Another flawless night with the boot, but was anonymous with the ball in hand and the playmaking option failed to materialise. 5/10

Joe Tomane: Barely involved in the game as Australia struggled to get their firepower on the wings into the match – to their cost. 5/10

James O'Connor: Scored a fine try but his run at outhalf must be at an end. Seems to think he needs to win the match by himself and offers no control. 5/10

Will Genia: This was his worst performance of the series, but he was still among the best on the pitch. Australia's ringmaster was always on the ball. 7/10

Benn Robinson: Australia's scrum has endured nightmare matches before, but this was possibly their worst. 3/10

Stephen Moore: A force in the loose and threw himself into the collisions, but in a game where scrums were so important he was unable to stem the red tide. 4/10

Ben Alexander: Cast as the fall-guy of the Wallabies' scrum horror-show with his sin-binning, the tighthead will want to forget this day. 2/10

Kane Douglas: No match for the Lions' locks, who were imperious, but still a novice on the Test stage and will have learned from this. 5/10

James Horwill: Gave a classy speech after the final whistle, but Australia's forward talisman could not inspire his troops on this day. 6/10

Ben Mowen: Seemed to spend much of the game stood offside, but offered a physical presence while Wallabies were battered all around him. 6/10

George Smith: This was not the farewell on Australian soil he had envisaged – concussed early in the match and it was the Lions who controlled the breakdown. 5/10

Wycliff Palu: Effective as a ball-carrier but his work rate is not high enough and this was his least conspicuous match of the series. 5/10

Replacements
Saia Fainga'a:
Australia's scrum was blitzed and he must have dreaded stepping off the bench. 4/10
James Slipper:
Another culprit in one of the worst scrummaging performances by a Test team. 2/10
Sekope Kepu:
The scrum seemed to steady when he arrived, only for the cracks to appear once again. 4/10
Rob Simmons:
The balance of power had already shifted away from Australia when he arrived. 4/10
Ben McCalman:
Has little impact at the breakdown, which the Lions dominated. 4/10
Michael Hooper:
A blood bin replacement for Smith and then a late arrival. 4/10
Nick Phipps:
This was a bleak day for Australian rugby that Phipps will want to forget. 4/10
Jesse Mogg:
Looked comfortable at this level, a fine Test debut despite the events unfolding around him. 6/10
