Ireland trio Burns, Murphy and Moore the latest to pen Ulster extensions

All three joined the province in 2018 and have extended their stays beyond this season

Billy Burns, Marty Moore and Jordi Murphy are the latest Ulster players to sign contract extensions.

The news comes after James Hume, Matty Rea and Tom O’Toole were all announced to have done the same on Tuesday.

Both Burns and Moore have signed two year extensions that keep them at the province until 2024. Murphy has penned a deal until 2023.

Having joined the northern province from Gloucester in 2018, outhalf Burns has established himself as the side’s first choice outhalf, making 59 appearances in the process. He has also earned seven Ireland caps.

Jordi Murphy also moved north of the border in 2018 fresh after helping Leinster secure their most recent Champions Cup crown. Marty Moore has been there for just as long after joining from Wasps.

Of the latest signings, head coach Dan McFarland, said:

“The news that Billy, Marty and Jordi see their futures as being with Ulster is a big boost for the squad, as all three players will continue to bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the group.

“I look forward to them playing an integral role in our ambitions to win silverware as a squad.”
