Jonathan Sexton could yet play a part in Leinster’s Heineken Cup quarter-final against Harlequins on Sunday after his appeal was set for tomorrow. The outhalf received a two-week ban for kicking Munster’s Lifeimi Mafi in the Magners League last weekend.
Leinster, however, are unwilling to accept the sanction and appealed the decision to the IRFU who have arranged a hearing for tomorrow afternoon.
The new panel will be chaired by Billy Glynn and he will be assisted by Leo Galvin and Barry O’Brien.
Leinster are due to name their side for the match at the Stoop tomorrow lunchtime but could delay that until after the appeal is heard. Felipe Contepomi is expected to start at outhalf with Sexton providing cover from the replacements bench.
