Munster number eight Stephen Keogh has turned down a new contract with Declan Kidney's side, opting instead to take up a two-year offer from Leinster.
Despite a number of appearances in both the Celtic League and Heineken Cup this term, the 23-year-old is behind David Wallace, Denis Leamy and Anthoney Foley in the pecking order and feels his career will be better served at Donnybrook.
The former Ireland U-21, U-19 and Schools international will join Michael Cheika's set-up at the end of this season.
"While were are very disappointed that Stephen has opted to leave we respect his decision and wish him all the best for the future," explained team manager Jerry Holland.
There was better tidings for Munster fans with the news that Wallace, Tomas O'Leary, Barry Murphy and Ian Dowling had agreed new deals. Prop forward Tony Buckley has also put pen to paper on a new contract.
