Like his Ulster counterpart Munster coach Declan Kidney has opted to ring the changes ahead of the Magner's League meeting of the two provinces in Musgrave Park tomorrow.
Matt Williams made eight changes to his side thanks largely to internationals returning to duty, but Kidney has opted for seven and to leave some experience on the bench with his side to resume their Heineken Cup campaign aganst Gloucester on April 5th.
However, the most travelled of them all, number eight Anthony Foley, will make his 195th appearance when he starts at number eight in Cork tomorrow evening.
Mick O'Driscoll is preferred to Donnacha Ryan in the secondrow where he will partner Paul O'Connell. Ryan joins Donncha O'Callaghan, scrumhalf Peter Stringer, prop John Hayes and hooker Frankie Sheahan among the replacements.
Stringer's place will be taken by Tomas O'Leary, who will partner Ronan o'Gara, while at fulllback Denis Hurley comes in for Shaun Payne.
Ian Dowling replaces Brian Carney on the left wing.
Sheahan is replaced by Jerry Flannery who has seen little game time of late, as has O'Leary, given Stringer's absence from the Ireland starting line-up.
Marcus Horan and Tony Buckley complete the frontrow.
Kidney insists his side are only looking at this game and still retains hope of catching league leaders Leinster despite being 11 points behind Michael Cheika's side in fourth.
"We are fully focussed on tomorrow's game. Its a huge game for us because we are fully aware that we have to win our remaining seven games to put pressure on the League leaders," said Kidney today.
"Ulster have won all their games since the appointment of their new coach Matt Williams, so they've built up momentum and we know we are up against it tomorrow."
Kidney admitted he had some tough decisions to make in naming his XV but is glad to see the internationals back unscathed.
"With this group of players its always diffcult," he said. "Its great of course to have the internationals back, to be working again with a full squad. But those not involved at international levels have trained really well and worked hard in the period when the others were away.
"I think the team we've selected for tomorrow reflects that."
