Ireland coach Declan Kidney has included the Munster pair of Donnacha Ryan and Keith Earls in his 45-man training squad for the summer camp to take place in Cork next month.

The squad features nine other members of the squad that finished third in the Churchill Cup.

There is also a place for centre Gordon D'Arcy who broke his arm during the Six Nations and has not played since, while his Leinster team-mate Jonathan Sexton, who came into his own after an uncertain start to the Churchill Cup, is also on the bus.

Andrew Trimble and Leo Cullen both missed the June tour to New Zealand and Australia through injury but will be back in the mix for the four-day camp which will commence on August 5th.

The camp will be dictated, in part, by the players' pre-season fitness and conditioning programmes with their respective clubs and provinces.

"The camp is an opportunity for the coaching staff to work with the players and set some foundations ahead of what is going to be an important November for us," said Kidney today.

"We have a new blend of experience in the coaching staff and we felt that this camp would be key to getting the ideas of both the staff and players across ahead of the new season.

"Once we get into September, it really is a short space of time before we will arrive at our first camp ahead of the November games, so it will be important to our preparation.

"It is an exciting time and both the coaching staff and myself are looking forward to getting down to business and working with what is a talented squad of players".

Ireland face Canada, New Zealand and Argentina in November.
