Squad News:  Munster coach Declan Kidney has included a number of Irish World Cup players in his 26-strong squad ahead of their trip to Glasgow for this Friday night's Magners Celtic League clash.

Included are John Hayes, Marcus Horan, Jerry Flannery, Donncha O'Callaghan, Denis Leamy and David Wallace who join fellow internationals Frank Sheahan, Alan Quinlan, Peter Stringer and Brian Carney, who have already been involved with Munster since the World Cup ended.

Neither Paul O'Connell nor Ronan O'Gara are involved this weekend. O'Connell suffered a slight back strain in training while O'Gara is still slightly troubled by a knee injury sustained in the latter stages of Ireland's campaign in France. However, Kidney is confident that both will be in contention for a place in the squad for the game against Edinburgh on Saturday week.

Barry Murphy is included in the squad for the first time this season and there is also a return to action for Anthony Horgan, who retired injured (hamstring) in the game against Cardiff Blues.

Connacht coach Michael Bradley also named his squad  of 22 for their clash with Edinburgh at the Sportsground on Friday (ko 6.30pm) and are boosted by the return of captain Andrew Farley and hooker Adrian Flavin.

Both Farley and Flavin have overcome injuries to be included in the squad for the first time in five and three weeks respectively.

Bradley said he was glad to have such influential players back but is well aware of the threat posed by an Edinburgh side with a full complement of internationals returning.

"We understand that Edinburgh will have all their internationals back but we won't know if they'll be part of the team until they name their side," said the former Ireland scrumhalf. "We played Cardiff two weeks ago who had a number of their key players back. We understand that in that game against Cardiff we were frustrated because we played very well."

"We've looked at the Cardiff game and Glasgow game before that and we realise again that if we take care of our own business irrespective of who we play we can win the matches."
