Leinster today confirmed the signing of Munster second row Trevor Hogan as they seek to bolster their pack ahead of another assault on the Heineken European Cup next season.

With Munster announcing the capture of Wales lock Chris Wyatt yesterday, ostensibly to replace Hogan, it was simply a matter of time before officials at Donnybrook made the 26-year-old's move to Dublin public.

Hogan joins fellow Munster convert Stephen Keogh in joining Michael Cheika's set-up as Leinster attempt to add some power to a forward unit that was comprehensively out-fought during Sunday's semi-final at Lansdowne Road.

Hogan, capped twice on the summer tour to Japan in 2005, will link-up with Leinster in the summer.

"I am delighted that Trevor has made the decision to sign with Leinster," Cheika said today. "He is a very talented player who we know is going to make a significant contribution to our team and its ambitions going forward.

"His power and energy for the game in taking his opportunities to date is something that I respect in the player.  I am looking forward to working with him closely next season."

The Leinster coach also named the squad to face Ospreys at Lansdowne Road on Saturday.

Ireland Under-21 Jonathan Sexton has been included in an enlarged 25-man squad which will be reduced when the team is announced at lunchtime on Friday.

The St.Mary's man is included alongside the likes of Gordon D'Arcy, Denis Hickie and Shane Horgan while in the pack Adam Byrnes, Emmett Byrne and Ben Gissing have also been named.

Leinster coach Michael Cheika said: "The Ospreys are a good side who are coming into form. They've had a good run of games and have the potential to cause a lot of threats.

"The squad are obviously disappointed (after last weekend) but you can sense a feeling of resolve there also which is encouraging. We've got to make sure that we take something from the game and push on for the rest of the season. We need to front up when we don't perform well. "
