Gloucester 19-13 Leinster:Dean Ryan's Gloucester have already made their European exit but in beating Leinster at Kingsholm tonight the Irish province look certain to be denied a home draw for the quarter-final knockout stages of the Heineken Cup.
However, Leinster may have lost 19-13 but they snatched a bonus point in the 11th minute of injury time still gives them an outside chance of a home draw in the quarter-finals.
In a thrilling clash at Kingsholm the Irishmen could not contain the home side in the second half and drifted to a 19-10 deficit before Gloucester infringed at a ruck and then conceded 10 metres for dissent, allowing Felipe Contepomi to capitalise.
But Gloucester had done what head coach Dean Ryan required. After losing their first three games in Pool Two they were playing for pride and Ryan wanted a performance to match their potential to provide a springboard for their Guinness Premiership campaign.
Tries from Mark Foster, Chistian Califano and a penalty try sealed the win for the home side.
Brian O'Driscoll scored the only try for Leinster.
Edinburgh suffered more misery as their campaign ended in a 19-7 defeat at muddy Murrayfield to Agen.
The Gunners went into the match looking for a morale-boosting win to carry into the closing stages of the Magners League season.
However, despite a late flurry they were always second-best to an Agen outfit who thoroughly deserved their win.
