Rugby:Leinster will play their RaboDirect Pro12 semi-final on Saturday, May 12th at the RDS (7.35). The Irish province confirmed their place by beating Edinburgh last weekend but won't know their opponents until after the last round of matches.
They will face the team that finishes fourth in the standings. The other semi-final will see the second and third placed teams go head to head on Friday, May 11th (7.35) with the club that finishes runners-up to Leinster in the league stage earning home advantage.
Round 21 of the tournament this weekend features two games between teams in the top six; Ulster v Leinster at Ravenhill on Friday night and Scarlets v Munster at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday. Ulster, currently fifth with 56 points, will have to rely on other results going their way if they don’t win, especially as they travel to Thomond Park in the final round of fixtures, a repeat of their recent Heineken Cup quarter-final clash.
The Ospreys are all set for an emotional night at the Liberty Stadium on Friday as they mark the final home fixture for legendary wing Shane Williams when Newport Gwent Dragons are the visitors. If they can keep winning – they end with a tricky trip to Aironi – then they are guaranteed the second home play-off based either on points or wins.
Glasgow Warriors are also well in the mix and travel to Benetton Treviso this weekend and then end with a home game against Connacht. They currently lie in fourth place.
