Ian Madigan was named as the Bank of Ireland Leinster Players Player of the Year at the Mansion House on Saturday night. A graduate of the province's academy, he has been outstanding for Leinster this season, making 28 appearances to date and scoring eight tries and 226 points in total.
Jordi Murphy was named as young player of the year. There were presentations made to departing players Jonathan Sexton (Racing Metro 92), Fionn Carr (Connacht), Andrew Conway (Munster), Jamie Hagan (London Irish), Heinke van der Merwe (Stade Francais) and Thomas Sexton (Melbourne Rebels).
Damien Browne has joined Oyonnax, newly-promoted to the French Top 14 . There was a special presentation to Isa Nacewa, who retires from rugby at the end of the season.
Leinster are expected to officially announce Australian Matt O'Connor as the successor to Joe Schmidt as head coach either today or tomorrow.
