Leinster welcome captain Brian O'Driscoll back to a 25-man squad as Michael Cheika's side look to cement their place at the top of the Celtic League when playing Glasgow Warriors at Firhill this Sunday.

Also returning from injury are prop Reggie Corrigan and secondrow Cameron Jowitt, who along with O'Driscoll, missed last week's 38-21 win over the Ospreys.

Cheika is confident that the two Irishmen will play a part but remains unconvinced as to the role Jowitt will be able to fill.

"Brian (O'Driscoll) will definitely be back as will Reggie (Corrigan). But there's still a bit of a doubt over Cameron (Jowitt). We hope to have as strong a side available as possible," he said today.

Leinster have met Glasgow three times already this season and have won on each occasion. They currently hold a six point advantage over Cardiff who take on Ulster at Ravenhill on Friday.

Third-placed Munster, seven points off the pace, are also in action on Friday against the Ospreys.

Cheika believes that his side are gradually coming to terms with the consistency required in away matches and feels knowing other results before the game will be beneficial to his team.

"We've gotten better as the season has gone on. We've also had some good away wins in the Heineken Cup. I suppose it's about knowing what you have to do. We're in a decent position (this weekend) because with the game on Sunday evening we'll know the other results."

Cheika also revealed that his philosophy on the game has been strengthened by result against Munster in the Heineken Cup semi-final and maintains that his side

"If anything, my belief system in how the game should be played has been reinforced (after the Munster game)," said the Australian. "Once it's perfected, it will be very difficult for team to break down. We now know our identity moving forward. I don't think we've achieved consistency yet though."

There is also no hurry to bring too many new faces to the RDS.  With some signings already completed and a full compliment of foreign players, Cheika admits its partially his responsibility to nurture young talent.

"Given that we came into the recruitment late last year, we've tried to plan accordingly for next year and how we manage to bring development players through.

"From where I see it we've got Adam (Byrnes), Trevor Hogan is coming up and we've also got Cameron, Devin Toner and Malcolm O'Kelly. I think we're starting to look very strong, mobile and athletic in the pack.

"We've got our quota of three foreigners in the squad now with Will (Green), Chris (Whitaker) and Felipe (Contepomi). The structure in Ireland is such that we need to continue to develop players - and rightly so. I understand my role there," concluded Cheika.
