Both Ronan O’Gara and Paul Warwick have been included in the Munster squad ahead of the resumption of Heineken Cup duty against Sale Sharks on Friday.
Tony McGahan had concerns over the pair after O’Gara was forced off with a hamstring injury during the Magners League defeat to Ulster and Warwick left the pitch with an eye injury against the Ospreys a week later.
The outhalves were training this morning and make the strong 26-man squad that also sees the return of Keith Earls.
Their availability averts a crisis at the pivotal position as they look to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament for the 11th successive year.
Victory for Munster will effectively guarantee the champions qualification, unless Clermont beat Montauban with a bonus point and do likewise away to Sale on Saturday week.
In other words, a win on Friday with a bonus point, or a loss by less than seven away to Montauban will ensure Munster top pool one by virtue of their head to head record with Clermont.
However, defeat to Sale would leave Munster perilously placed and in need of a favour from Clermont in what would then be a dramatic, last-day three-way fight for, most probably, one qualifying place.
