Rugby:Ronan O'Gara could be afforded some welcome game time when Munster face Bennetton Treviso this weekend. O'Gara has seen precious little action since facing Northampton in the Heineken Cup last month but has been released by the Irish management for Munster's Pro12 trip to Italy.
While Irish frontliners Paul O’Connell, Conor Murray and Donncha O’Callaghan are held in reserve, Donnacha Ryan and Peter O’Mahony could also be afforded a run out against the Italians. Keith Earls will stay in Limerick after recently becoming a father for the first time.
Felix Jones is in line for his first Munster appearance of the season after a lengthy lay off with a serious foot injury. Jones, who has not played since sustaining the injury in the World Cup warm-ups last August, made his comeback for Shannon at the weekend.
The highly-rated fullback came through that test unscathed and is named in Tony McGahan’s travelling party. Mike Sherry is another long-term injury victim on course to feature, the prop back available for the first time since October. Tommy O’Donnell also returns from s knee injury.
