Eddie O'Sullivan's tenure as Ireland coach appears to be nearing a conclusion following today's comprehensive defeat at Twickenham.
O'Sullivan, who signed a new four-year deal before last autumn's World Cup, would not be drawn on his future plans in the immediate aftermath of England's 33-10 win but did concede that he would sit down with the IRFU to "get our thoughts together".
"I'm won't make any decision about anything, certainly not within minutes of the final whistle," O'Sullivan told RTE television after seeing his side brushed aside by an English side inspired by newcomer Danny Cipriani. "There's a lot of emotion, obviously, a lot of disappointment."
"What we always do after a Six Nations, is sit down with the IRFU to have a look at things and get our thoughts together," he added "We'll do that in the fullness of time."
Meanwhile, Munster coach Declan Kidney will be hoping for some positive reports on injuries to backrowers David Wallace and Denis Leamy ahead of the forthcoming Heineken Cup quarter-finals.
Wallace will have an x-ray on a leg injury while Leamy must undergo a scan on shoulder problem that saw him leave the pitch in the opening quarter. Munster face Gloucester in the last eight of the competition early next month.
