Italy coach Pierre Berbizier has recalled outhalf Ramiro Pez for Saturday's Six Nations game against Wales in one of three changes from the team who beat Scotland 37-17 in Edinburgh.
Pez will win his 35th cap in the Rome encounter as Italy seek a second victory in the championship for the first time.
Andrea Scanavacca, who kicked impressively against the Scots, drops to the bench.
With Andrea Masi injured, Matteo Pratichetti comes in at left win for his third cap but first start while Carlos Nieto replaces injured Martin Castrogiovanni in the frontrow.
