Ireland fullback Michael Platt has been cleared to play in Monday's semi-final qualifier against Fiji but his Bradford team-mate David Solomona's World Cup campaign looks to be over.
Platt found himself in trouble with the World Cup match review panel for allegedly leading with his legs into an opponent during Wednesday's 34-16 group win over Samoa but escaped with a warning.
Fiji's Iowane Divavesi will miss Monday's game at Gold Coast's Skilled Park after the panel recommended a two-match ban for tripping during his side's 18-16 defeat by Scotland.
Divavesi will be automatically suspended unless he fights the charge, in which case a hearing will be held.
Meanwhile, Samoan second-rower Solomona, who was placed on report for allegedly striking Ireland centre Sean Gleeson in the clash at Parramatta, was charged by the match review committee and is also facing a two-game ban.
Samoa are due to play France at CUA Stadium on Sunday to decide which team will officially finish last in the tournament.
Any suspensions must be served initially during the tournament and, if necessary, will be completed during the player's domestic competition. Four other players have been given cautions, including Scotland forward Ian Henderson for trading punches with Fiji's Jason Bukuya.
