Defending champions Munster and Leinster have both been handed difficult away ties after today's quarter-final draw for the Heineken Cup was made.

Munster will travel to Welsh side Llanelli Scarlets while Leinster will face the 2004 champions Wasps; the first time these two teams will have met in the tournament's history.

Another English heavyweight side Leicester, who broke Munster's unbeaten record at Thomond Park yesterday, will also enjoy home advantage as they take on French league leaders Stade Francais. These sides met in the 2001 final which Leicester won.

Northampton, who qualified as one of two best runners-up from six pools, face a reunion with top seeds Biarritz, probably in San Sebastian. The Saints lost 17-8 at home to Biarritz today, and will travel as rank outsiders against a side contesting their fifth successive quarter-final.
