Rugby – Scotland v Australia:Andy Robinson today named an unchanged side to face Australia in this weekend's second autumn international at Murrayfield.
Head coach Robinson has kept faith with the starting XV and substitutes who secured victory in his first game in charge against Fiji last Saturday.
Number eight Johnnie Beattie and co-captain Mike Blair missed training yesterday with respective groin and ankle injuries but both have been included in the squad to play the Wallabies.
Robinson challenged his players to improve on their 23-10 win over Fiji against a side they have not beaten for 27 years.
He said: “We are giving the players the opportunity to perform against the Wallabies, who are a top quality international side — the sort that everyone wants to test themselves against.
“Competition for places is intense and we’ll be watching the Scotland A game against Tonga in Gala on Friday night very closely.
“But we are saying to the players for Saturday ‘step up this weekend and show improvement’.”
