Prop Guy Shepherdson will make his Wallabies debut in Saturday's test against Ireland in Perth.. The 24-year-old replaces Rodney Blake, who is out with an ankle injury.
George Gregan returns to the side as scrumhalf and captain after making his record-breaking 120th test appearance when coming on as a replacement against England. Sam Cordingley drops to the bench.
Tai McIsaac comes in for the injured Adam Freier at hooker in the only other change to the starting lineup.
"There are still some positions we're not 100 per cent sure on and we'll continue to have a look at a few combinations, particularly in the front row," coach John Connolly said in a statement.
"Having said that, we want to play the team into some form and give players the opportunity to play together and build some cohesion," he added."We've been happy with the team's progress in a short space of time but there's always room for improvement."
Australia beat England 34-3 in Sydney and 43-18 in Melbourne to win the Cook Cup series 2-0, and Connolly expects a much closer game against Ireland.
"They play a lot more direct and a lot tighter than England and there's no doubt they are a better team than England at the moment," Connolly said.
"They played well in trying conditions last weekend and were very competitive in their series against New Zealand so they present us with a good challenge," Connolly said.
