Scotland coach Frank Hadden named uncapped trio Ben Cairns, Thom Evans and Moray Low in his squad to tour Argentina in June.

Edinburgh centre Cairns and Glasgow duo Evans (wing) and Low (prop) have all performed well for Scotland's A team and will press for places in the two tests in Rosario on June 7th and Buenos Aires on the 14th.

Hadden, who announced 25 names with two backs and three forwards to be added later, told the Scottish Rugby Union web site: "I'm delighted that the bulk of this squad will be home-based players, which is a reflection on the recent form of both of our professional teams and the quality of the development work which has gone on in our country over a number of years."

Argentina knocked Scotland out of the World Cup at the quarter-final stage last year and Hadden added: "We are fully aware of the size of the challenge but it's one we're looking forward to."
