Squad News: Rua Tipoki and Ian Dowling have both been included in Tony McGahan's 25-man Munster squad ahead of Sunday's Heineken Cup clash away to Sale Sharks at Edgeley Park.
Both players picked up injuries during the narrow win over French side Montauban and as a result neither trained yesterday. However, it is expected Dowling (dead leg) and Tipoki (thigh strain) will be fit in time for Sunday's game.
Kieran Lewis and Denis Hurley have been drafted into the squad as cover as has Tony Buckley who has recovered from a bout of illness.
McGahan is taking nothing for granted after Sale's win in Clermont last weekend. "To win like they did out there says it all really. I watched the game and I thought they competed extremely hard in defence and made the very most of their opportunites when they arose," he said.
"Added to that win and their form in the league, they've won four from five and conceded just four tries. It gives you and idea of the size of the task we face over there.
"But we knew before this competition kicked off that there would be no easy games, home or away, so nothing has changed in that respect. We'll be looking to give a good account of ourselves and see where that takes us," added the coach.
Michael Bradley also named a 25-man squad ahead of Connacht's European Challenge Cup second round clash against London Irish at the Sportsground on Friday.
Andy Dunne and Adrian Flavin have both overcome their respective injuries and are included in the squad along with John Lyne.
Mel Deane (hamstring), Keith Matthews (calf), Conor O'Loughlin (hip) and Mike Roberts (calf) were not considered due to injury.
Connacht come into their first ever competitive fixture against London Irish after a convincing 30-12 win away to Dax last weekend.
Meanwhile Connacht's match against the Portugese national team has been rescheduled at the request of the IRFU and Rugby Portugal. The game has been moved from Wednesday, November 5th to Sunday, November 9th with kick off at 6pm.
