Ireland U-21 coach Mark McDermott has made three changes from the side that lost to Scotland ahead of the match against England on Friday.

Garryowen’s Conan Doyle will replace St Mary’s outhalf Jonathon Sexton who drops to the bench.

At scrumhalf UCC’s  Duncan Williams is to get his first start, relegating Paul Marshall of Ballynahinch to the bench.

A knee injury to secondrow Daniel Tuohy means David McGowan will also get his first start, and Michael Essex of UCC will take a place on the bench.

Once again the side will be captained by hooker Stuart Philpott.

McDermott’s side won their first game of the tournament 34-9 against Italy, before being well beaten 29-10 by France in Strasbourg and losing by 13-14 to Wales in Dubarry Park.

Last weekend they were beaten 21-24 by Scotland at the same venue.

The game kicks-off in Worcester on St Patrick’s Day at 8.00 p.m.
