UL Bohemians 29-17 Dublin University: In today's only AIL Division One fixture UL Bohemians moved up to sixth in the standings after a 29-17 win over Dublin University at Thomond Park.
Bohs bossed the early stages with Australian full-back Ben Martin converted his own try after three minutes to set out the Limerick students' stall.
Martin added a penalty before wingers Mark Butler and Martin McPhail coasted clear for a try apiece, stretching the Bohs lead to 22-0.
The visitors fought back as lock Marc Warburton, number eight Martin Garvey and captain and hooker Matt Crockett touched down in the second quarter to cut the Bohs lead to 22-17 at the interval
Crockett's effort, right on the cusp of half-time, was converted brilliantly from the touchline by fly half Mark O'Neill.
Restored to 14 men after flanker John Ed O’Connor’s sin-binning, Bohs made certain of their third straight win midway through the second half when Ireland Under-21 Butler waltzed over for his second try.
UL's fifth bonus point of the campaign leaves them sitting seven points behind fourth-placed Cork Constitution in the race for the play-offs.
