Rugby:Ulster's influential captain and secondrow Johann Muller has signed a one-year extension to his contract that will keep him at the province until the summer of 2014.
Muller, capped 24 times by South Africa, has become a mainstay since joining Ulster three years ago from the Sharks and has gone on to play 52 times since.
The 2007 World Cup winner took over the captaincy last season, guiding Ulster to the final of the Heineken Cup run, where they lost to Leinster.
The 32-year-old from Mossel Bay said he is looking forward to another season at Ulster
“The contract extension has been in the pipeline for a while now and I’m delighted to get it signed. I’ve had a great time at Ulster so far, three years have flown by and I’m really looking forward to a fourth year,” said the 6ft 7in lock.
“The players and backroom staff have done an amazing job over the past three years and it’s an exciting place to be. Everybody is really happy being part of this squad and this environment and I’m no different. We’re on the right track and hopefully we can keep on going and win some silverware.”
