David Wallace is among nine internationals who return to Tony McGahan's Munster squad ahead of the Magners League trip to face Llanelli Scarlets on Friday.

The flanker trained at University Limerick this morning, despite having to leave the field on a stretcher after a collision with Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe during Ireland's win over Argentina at Croke Park last weekend.

There is no place for Jerry Flannery who underwent a knee scan yesterday. The hooker is expected to be out for two weeks. In his absence, Frankie Sheahan and Denis Fogarty will vie for the starting berth.

Sheahan returns with Denis Leamy. Both had been doubtful after coming off injured in Munster's narrow defeat to the All Blacks last week.

Of course, in the absence of Flannery, Wallace and Leamy, as well as Marcus Horan, Donncha O'Callaghan, Paul O'Connell, Keith Earls, Tomás O'Leary and Ronan O'Gara, the back-up outperformed the frontliners when pitted against the All Blacks.

Donnacha Ryan will certainly be pushing for a place in the secondrow after his performance that night, while the halfback partnership of Peter Stringer and Paul Warwick could well keep O'Gara and O'Leary out of the starting XV.

Another decision for McGahan, is who to replace the injured Rua Tipoki with after the centre was ruled out until next year with a medial ligament injury sustained against his countrymen. Barry Murphy looks the most likely contender, with Earls preferred at fullback so far this season.
