Team news:Scrumhalf Richard Wigglesworth will make his first international start on Saturday after being named in England's side to play France in the Six Nations in Paris.
Captain Phil Vickery and fellow prop Andrew Sheridan, who missed the last match against Italy through illness and injury respectively, return for a rematch of last year's World Cup semi-final.
Coach Brian Ashton has resisted any temptation to make wholesale changes to a team who badly lost their way in the second half of their two opening matches.
Wales overturned a halftime deficit of 16-6 to defeat the World Cup runners-up 26-19 at Twickenham before England struggled to beat Italy 23-19 in Rome.
Wigglesworth, 24, who came off the bench against Italy, replaces Andy Gomarsall who was a key figure in England's renaissance at the World Cup after they were humiliated by eventual champions South Africa in the opening round.
Gomarsall was off the pace in the opening Six Nations matches and at 33 his international career, which was unexpectedly revived at the World Cup, may now be over. Paul Hodgson will provide cover for Wigglesworth on the bench.
Vickery, who regains the captaincy from lock Steve Borthwick, withdrew on the day of the Italy match with a stomach complaint while Sheridan had an infected ankle.
Ashton told a news conference on Tuesday that Gomarsall was dropped because he had not shown the form he displayed during the World Cup.
"We felt we needed some more energy in that position to raise the tempo of our game," he said.
"We talked about it, it's been quite a topic of conversation for the past 24 hours. We decided we had to change our approach in that position."
Seven of the starting lineup in the World Cup semi-final victory will start again on Saturday: Sheridan, Vickery, hooker Mark Regan, lock Simon Shaw, number eight Nick Easter, flyhalf Jonny Wilkinson and wing Paul Sackey.
Holders France are unbeaten in the tournament after victories over Scotland and Ireland.
