Glenn Ryan and Anthony Rainbow are fit again to line out for Kildare in Saturday's All-Ireland football qualifier against Cavan at Newbridge. Full back Kevin O'Neill is also available for selection. All three missed the Leinster quarter-final against Offaly.
Wing back David Lyons is recovering but he is a doubtful starter. Pádraig Mullarkey is also unlikely to start, as are Derek McCormack and Karl Ennis. James and Ian Lonergan - who were drafted into the side for the game against Offaly - are also struggling with niggling injuries.
Down's John Clarke has rejected claims that he and Michael Walsh were omitted because of injuries for last weekend's All-Ireland football qualifier against Sligo.
Clarke confirmed last night that he and Walsh were told one hour before the throw-in that they were not in the starting 15. Clarke said he was "100 per cent fit" for the game in which Down crashed out of the All-Ireland series.
Clarke's comments may make matters difficult for manager Paddy O'Rourke ahead of tonight's county board meeting.
