Dublin centre back Liam Ryan was the hero in their victory at Enniskillen over Derry, scoring the match-winner a minute into two minutes of added-on time.
At half-time Derry led by 3-3 to 1-5, corner forward Michael Collins scoring a hat-trick and Dublin getting their goal through Kevin Flynn. The pace of the game rose dramatically in the second half with Dublin, for whom midfielder Colm Keaney was outstanding, heading the front after 14 minutes with a goal from their inspiring captain Ger Ennis. It was all nip and tuck thereafter until 27 minutes when Oliver Collins flicked the ball to the net to restore Derry's lead, 5-6 to 2-12.
However, there was no denying Keaney and Ennis, each of whom found the target to bring the team's level before Ryan's match winner.

It looked all so easy for Kerry 28 minutes into this highly exciting National Hurling League Division Two quarter-final at Kilmallock yesterday as they led Kildare by 10 points (2-7 to 0-3).
However, a few shrewd positional changes by the Lilywhites saw them make a real battle and inside a seven-minute period they cut the deficit to three points and just when it seemed they were ready to take over in drawing level 2-12 each six minutes before the final whistle, the Kingdom upped the tempo once more.
Billy Brick had Kerry's opening goal inside 30 seconds and then goalkeeper John Healy with a 21 yards free beat his opposite number, Padraig Ryan, to make it 2-2 to 0-3.
